Killed Iraqi media staff: 15 journalists including Iraqi Journalists Syndicate president and one woman journalist:
• On Tuesday 12/2/2008 corpse of Hashem Mejwet Hemdan, correspondent of Al-Siyaseh Wa Al-Akhbar newspaper (Politics & News NP.) found in Baghdad morgue, after being kidnapped before 2 days.
• On Wednesday 17/2/2008 Iraqi Journalists Syndicate president Shehab Al- Temimi died after assassination attempt on his life on Saturday 23/2/2008.
• On Thursday 13/3/2008 Qasem Abd- Alhusien Al-Uqabi, editor of Al-Waten daily newspaper killed near National Theater in Al-Keradeh main district in the middle of Baghdad.
• On Wednesday 30/4/2008 Al-Furat TV.S. photographer and team driver Alaa Al-Beldawi killed in road explosion in Samara- Beled crossroad.
• On Sunday 4/5/2008 Sarwah abd- Alwehab Selah Al-dien TV.S. correspondent shot dead in Al-Beker district in Mousel.
• On Wednesday 21/5/2008 Wisam Ali Odah Afaq TV.S photographer shot dead by American sniper in Al- Ubeidi district east Baghdad, while returning home.
• On Thursday 22/5/2008 Heider Hashem Al- Huseini,Al-Sherq newspaper correspondent killed after kidnapped before one day.
• On Tuesday 17/6/2008 Muhyi Al-Dien Abd- Alhemied Al- Neqieb, Al- Mousel TV.S. broadcaster, shot dead in the entrance of his house.
• On Monday 21/7/2008 Kurdish journalist Suran Mameh Hemah, mid-monthly Levien magazine active reporter on corruption, shot dead.
• On Wednesday 13/8/2008 Al-Sherqia TV.S. team shot dead in Al-Mousel, after few minutes of their kidnapped in Al-Zenjili district. The killed media staff is: Messaab Mehmud Al-Azawi,manager of Al- Al-Sherqia Mousel bureau, photographers Ahmed Salem & Ihab Muaad and driver Qidar Selman.
• On Friday 10/10/2008 Diyar Abas, Al- Ain News Co. correspondent, shot dead near Kerkuk Governorate headquarters.
