Alforat Satellite TV. Photographer Killed In Explosion Near Beled

 


Baghdad, 30 Jan. - An explosion on the road to Sameraa near crossroad of Beled in the evening of yesterday, Tuesday, killed Alforat satellite TV. photographer, Alaa Abedalkerim Qasem and the driver of the car Alaa A'si Albeldawi , in which the team of Aforat TV. was in on his way to cover the news of the holly city Samaraa,
The editor of the team, Fatmah Alhesen, was severely injured also in the attack and carried to the nearest hospital to treat her, according to Dhiya' Almaliki from Alforat TV., who added to Iraqi Media Safety Group (IMSG) that the three members of the team were young on the age of less than 30 years. The Iraqi Journalists Union published a statement of obituary calling all Iraqi social forces to support journalism freedom.
This attack raised the journalist victims of the attacks against the Iraqi media to 254 killed journalists and their media supporting persons since the April 2003, according to Iraqi Journalists Union statistics.
Iraqi Media Safety Group denounces this attack considering it another crime against the freedom of journalism to reach the information and publish them to inform the people of Iraq and the World.
IMSG again call all Iraqi social and political forces to defame the crime of attacks against journalists who are trying their best to inform the people of Iraq and the World the real events within Iraq in objective non-partial method.
